William Church is obviously a man of taste. (This is William Church of the famous Church’s shoes family, by the way.) He’s featured in the latest issue of the Japanese magazine Men’s Club Magazine (not what it sounds like) revealing what he packs in his suitcase when he’s out and about. Tucked in there with his iPod are a pair of stripy Sunspel boxers and some white Sunspel trunks.

If you look at the next picture down (the other half of the suitcase), you’ll see a ‘Cheaney’ logo near a fine brown shoe. This brand makes fine English footwear at a factory near Northampton and was recently bought by William and his brother Jonathan (they bought it off Church’s, in fact, as Church’s is now owned by Prada). So William’s putting a lot of energy into promoting this classic old British business and its beautiful shoes, which is probably why he’s in Japan with his trusty Sunspels to keep him comfortable.
