When we were refitting our new shop, our builders discovered a set of windows and grills beneath the shop’s facade which must date back to well into the 19th century, possibly even earlier. Instead of throwing them away we thought we’d make use of them. And that’s how our rather unusual changing room came about.
The glass and wood combine to create a rather nice mellow atmosphere. Your privacy’s protected by the frosted glass, but light can get in, while the varnished wood looks warm.
The finishing touch is a curtain made from the jersey material we use for our t-shirts – very soft and stretchy. A bit of old and a bit of new.

If you look closely you can see that the glass was made with reinforcing wire inside it – obviously an anti-burglary measure.
