Before Christmas we shared our pop-up store in Mayfair with Snap Galleries, purveyors of rare and wonderful rock photography (like the picture above – the classic Simon Larbalestier image for the Pixies’ Surfer Rosa album).

When we were refitting our new shop, our builders discovered a set of windows and grills beneath the shop’s facade which must date back to well into the 19th century, possibly even earlier. Instead of throwing them away we thought we’d make use of them. Read full article »

Our new colours for the spring and summer are now available here on our website. There are several new blues there (including ‘cobalt’ and ‘india ink’), a subtle grey we’re calling mist, and even a pink.

We got a distress call at Sunspel HQ this afternoon from some good friends in New York. They told us that some friends of theirs have been trapped in the UK because of the Icelandic volcanic ash cloud, which is currently causing havoc with flights across Europe.

A change of colour changes everything.
The plain black tee is a very different proposition from the plain white tee. While the white tee is simple, stripped down, almost zen-like in its purity, the black tee broods. It’s intense.
