The BFI is currently showing ‘Tales from the Shipyard’, the second installment in its three-part project ‘This Working Life’, which documents how industry has shaped Britain. Drawing on a century’s worth of feature films and documentaries captured by filmmakers, the extensive collection of material from the archive will be showcased throughout February, and offers a story of how communities and cities were shaped by the demands of the UK’s shipyards.
