SIZE AND FIT
People come in different shapes and sizes, so choosing the right size is rarely an exact science. But it’s
worth spending a few minutes to get a really good fit. Once you know your body measurements you’ll be able
to order our clothes, confident that they’ll fit exactly as they should.
Measure yourself with a tape measure, then consult the size charts. Notes on the shape and cut of our
garments will help you decide if you want to opt for a loose or close fit.
If you are between sizes, go one size larger or smaller depending on how fitted you like your clothes to be.
If in doubt, go larger.
Important to note there’s a small natural variance of about 1cm in the width and length of the garment. This
is due to tiny variations in the fabric and because we make them by hand. Garments also shrink a little when
you wash them, and then stretch back to their previous size as you wear them. (But do follow the washing
instructions to avoid excessive shrinking.)
Knowing Your Own Size
To be accurate it’s best to measure yourself in your underwear and barefoot. If someone can do it for you,
all the better. We suggest taking each measurement two or three times to allow for errors. Try not to pull
the tape too tightly or leave it loose.
Chest
Measure the broadest part of your chest. With arms at your sides (as far as possible), measure under your
armpits and around your chest and shoulder blades.
WAIST
Measure around your body where your waistband or belt normally sits.
SLEEVE LENGTH
With elbow bent, measure from the top of the arm at the shoulder point to the wrist.
INSIDE LEG:
Measure from the top of your inside leg at the crotch to the ankle bone.
