The Riviera Polo Shirt is the essence of James Bond style. Originally tailored for Daniel Craig in Casino Royale, this polo is made from a lightweight cotton mesh that is not only breathable but extremely soft. Cut for a slim fit and finished with matching buttons and a chest pocket. A modern classic.

For Casino Royale we made the Riviera T-shirt in a grey melange. Now for the first time we have created a grey melange Riviera polo shirt.

The RIVIERA
Polo Shirt

Our original Riviera Polo Shirt was tailored for Daniel Craig in Casino Royale and has since become synonymous with James Bond style. It is crafted from a breathable cotton mesh fabric and has only the most essential of details for a clean, contemporary aesthetic. A versatile wardrobe staple.

We have focused on combining a refined fit with unparalleled comfort ever since we began making the polo shirt in the 1950s. Finding the piqué cotton that the modern tennis shirts were made of stifling, Peter Hill, the grandson of Sunspel’s founder, set about developing a fabric that would be cool and comfortable to wear in the hot summer sun of the Riviera. The result was a cotton mesh that was not only lightweight, but also breathable and supremely soft. It was knitted on lace machines in Nottingham, the home of England’s lace-making industry, and was named Q (for Quality) 75. The Riviera polo was born.
