Inspired by a T-Shirt found in our archive, the 1937 T-Shirt is constructed as a single body panel without shoulder seams. This traditional method of constructing a T-Shirt is exactly how Sunspel’s earliest T-Shirts were produced, although we’ve modernised the style by adding a wider, more relaxed fit to this classic staple.

The 1937 T-Shirt uses cotton spun just outside of Manchester at the first new cotton mill to open in England in over 50 years, before being knitted and dyed in Leicester and finally arriving at our Long Eaton factory.

The 1937 Collection celebrates 80 years of our Long Eaton factory, recreating garments from our archive using soft, natural cotton from English industry specialists.
