We also have offices in London, where the marketing, online and wholesale team reside.

Retoucher

The Company

The Role

This is an opportunity to join our in-house photography team. Working collaboratively across departments to create high quality imagery for our unique brand identity. The team produce still imagery across ecommerce flatlay, ecommerce model imagery, creative still life and lookbook model shoots. Reporting to the Head of Photography, the Retoucher will work closely with the Senior Retoucher to produce high quality retouched imagery, within a dedicated workflow and to the critical deadlines of the business. The role of Retoucher will be based in our photography studio in Long Eaton, Nottingham.

Responsibilities

  • To ensure all assets are retouched to the highest quality. Retouching flaylays and model imagery to a high standard.
  • Balancing long term retouching projects with ad hoc requests from other teams across the business. To be able to make reactive changes and updates when required.
  • Maintain the organisation of our photography assets and keep this updated. Maintain a consistent and organized workflow. To be able to move seamlessly from one project to the next.
  • Assist the Head of Photography and the Senior Retoucher with general everyday tasks to help manage the photography studio and the imagery it provides.
  • Working with the online, marketing and creative teams, coordinating their imagery needs.
  • To maintain the photography teams’ output during busy periods.
  • Set building.
  • Any other adhoc projects as requested.

    Experience and Skills
  • Advance knowledge of Photoshop is essential.
  • Previous retouching experience.
  • Relevant degree or experience in this field.
  • Passionate about your work with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
  • Proactive, highly organised person with an eye for detail.
  • Ability to work on own initiative and manage own time.
  • Excellent IT skills, Microsoft Office and Excel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of Premier Pro is beneficial.
  • Interest in clothes and fashion desirable.

Visual Merchandiser

The Role

As Visual Merchandiser you will contribute to the advertising, marketing and sales efforts by developing and taking charge of the visual look of our stores and products. You will be the ultimate ambassador for the Sunspel brand creating a store image that promotes the brand, showcases our products and delights our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contribute to the design and implement window and in store visual merchandising schemes (windows, mannequins, displays, styling) in line with the Sunspel brand guidelines and company image standards.
  • Partner with the merchandising team to prepare and execute store zoning and product rotation.
  • Partner with the CEO, Creative Director, and Marketing/Merchandising to analyse selling information and assess merchandising needs based on business trends and performance.
  • As the Visual Merchandising expert identify visual merchandising trends and challenges and propose solutions to the senior team.
  • Share qualitative and photographic feedback with a VM report showing before and after each product rotation and visual merchandising intervention.
  • Plan all visual merchandising projects, supporting the retail and wholesale teams from layout of project to floorplan to display. Communicate with stores for preparation, arrangement installation and dismantle for all VM projects.
  • Work with PR/Marketing to execute special events.
  • Organise project installations (window, façade, props, furniture lighting etc) and arrange transportation and delivery of all VM tools for displays.
  • Budget management of all activities related to visual merchandising.
  • Take control of the order and inventory of VM tools and fixtures for all stores.
  • Input during Edit Days for all retail and wholesale VM projects.

Experience and skills

  • At least 3 years of retail visual merchandising experience preferably in the luxury fashion industry.
  • Strong visual skills and aesthetic sensibility.
  • Excellent executional skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to work across all levels of the business to drive commercial success.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to influence and lead change, flexible and receptive to constructive feedback.
  • Customer service focused with excellent attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications.
