We continue to draw on the traditional clothing techniques and expertise of the Nottingham area where the company was founded back in 1860. We also have offices in London, where the marketing, online and wholesale team reside.

Marketing Executive – Fixed Term (12 monthsMaternity Cover)

Main purpose of job:

To support the Director of Marketing in implementation and execution of the marketing plans which develop the brand in line with the global strategy.

Key Tasks:

Marketing Responsibilities

•To support the assembly of annual marketing calendar ensuring it is up-to-date, from product, seasonality, brand campaigns and promotions, synchronised messaging across channels.

•Working closely with the creative team and internal stakeholders to identify shoot requirements to support the marketing calendar with high quality assets.

•Orchestrating additional shoot requirements outside of campaign, lookbook and eCom.

•Managing shoot production and budget.

•Preparing an advertising calendar to supplement digital advertising, identifying and working with publishers and wider ad partnerships to present the brand to our target audience.

•Owning the global partnership program targeting; members clubs, corporate benefit schemes, loyalty and rewards, and other complimentary brands that share the same target audience in order to build brand awareness, first party data and sales.

•Monitor the competitor space to keep abreast of what the market is doing and to learn from other marketing executions implemented by other brands – not limited to clothing/fashion industry.

•Work with the Marketing Director to manage the budget and invoices to ensure we are capturing all actuals.

Retail & Wholesale Marketing

•Identifying consumer marketing needs, spending time with the design team and attending edits to inform the creation of seasonal briefing pack and training in retail, for new collections and special product launches.

•Overseeing a local retail business strategy, working with landlords, and partnering with local businesses/community to identify event opportunities, collaborations and provision of perks and discounts.

•Support the planning and successful implantation of Sunspel’s key moments with in-store activations from VM and POS support, event production and new store openings.

•Overseeing effective asset management to ensure all wholesale accounts are equipped with relevant assets in timely manner.

Social Media

•Develop and implement Sunspel’s social strategy with the Marketing Director, ensuring alignment with overall brand positioning.

•Own and manage the social media calendar, including the development of all social copy to support key marketing stories, collection launches and cultural moments to resonate brand personality and tone of voice.

•Set goals for community growth and engagement.

•Research of new Influencers & Ambassadors profiles to partner with, shoots & journal interviews, etc

•Negotiate and organise contracts for influencers and content creators within seasonal budget allocation.

•Work with Sunspel’s Chinese and Japanese partners to support the WeChat, Weibo Red accounts and dedicate Japanese Instagram up to date, sharing the assets scheduled to go out across the other platforms.

•Providing live social support on-site at key events and brand moments.

•Build and present regular reports and competitor analysis using a social monitoring tool.

•Be present in the conversation, monitor ing and respond to engagement and queries from our online community.

Experience and Skills

•At least 2 years experience in a marketing role.

•Degree qualification or relevant marketing experience.

•Excellent PC skills.

•Good organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines.

•Good interpersonal skills.

•Have a good understanding of working to critical dates and deadlines.

•Passionate about your work with a ‘can-do’ attitude.

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

•Ability to work on own initiative and manage own time.

•Excellent IT skills, Microsoft Office, and Excel.

CRM and Email Marketing Manager (London)

The Role

As a CRM and Email Marketing Manager, you will work with the Head of Ecommerce on developing an email marketing and CRM strategy that drives engagement, conversion, and retention KPIs.

You will be highly organised and have previous experience of managing email communications with creative flair and a customer focused attitude. Previous Ometria ESP experience is preferred. Additional language skills (German, French, Japanese) are beneficial.

Key Responsibilities

  • Building an email marketing calendar that balances principles of driving revenue, click-through and conversion KPIs with luxury brand storytelling.
  • Collaborating with the wider Ecommerce and Marketing teams to ensure the email calendar is aligned with commercial priorities and the brand marketing calendar.
  • Coordinating the full email campaign creation process by working cross-departmentally on content and segmentation planning, creative and copy briefs, campaign build and localisation, as well as reporting and analysis.
  • Determining weekly performance metrics and taking ownership of in-depth reporting of email channels.
  • Championing customer data analysis to identify trends, extract insights, summarise learnings and formulate action plans.
  • Developing segmentation strategies to ensure commercial and brand messages are tailored to relevant audiences at the optimum times.
  • Maintaining, enhancing, and expanding the email automation programme that delivers targeted and personalised emails to achieve increases across conversion, retention, and lifetime metrics.
  • Maintaining and growing the email marketing database, e.g., through customer data capture initiatives and on-site and off-site lead generation activities.
  • Developing and executing an A/B testing programme to achieve higher levels of engagement, click-through rates and conversions (including but not limited to layout, copy, CTAs, dynamic content and subject line tests).
  • Supporting the development and execution of the VIP and loyalty programme.

Experience and skills

  • Strong numerical skills and commercial acumen.
  • Previous experience of data analysis and customer segmentation.
  • Previous experience of managing email communications.
  • Well-versed in email/marketing platforms (Ometria experience is preferred).
  • Basic Adobe and HTML skills.
  • Strong understanding of what best-in-class creative and formats look like.
  • Strong communication and relationship building skills.
  • Proactive approach to work.
  • Impeccable eye for detail.
  • Additional language skills are beneficial (German, French, Japanese).
