In 2011, Sunspel was asked to recreate the iconic swim shorts worn by Sean Connery in his role as James Bond in Thunderball for the ‘Designing 007: Fifty years of Bond Style' exhibition at London’s Barbican. After months researching traditional swimwear we combined this knowledge with a modern design sensibility to create our first swim short.
