The Sunspel Henley

The Henley style dates as far back as the 19th century. Originally crafted as an undergarment, its growing popularity amongst rowers made it the namesake of the Oxfordshire town, Henley-on-Thames, a hub for British rowing and Royal Regatta rowing competitions since 1839.

Sunspel has been producing versions of the Henley for generations and in a number of fabrications, from wool to cellular cotton to our trademark two-fold Egyptian cotton.

Our current range of Henley t-shirts are characterised by elegant simplicity, crafted from 100% Egyptian cotton with a three-button placket.
